Direct answer: Developer Notes #17 previews Version 1.8 as groundwork for the Half-Anniversary Version 2.0 update. The headline additions are a limited-time 15-player Hunting Event, the first Memory of Dimensions original-story chapter, major information and retry improvements, renewed early-growth missions, the Timespace Junction Season I finale, and support rewards.
How does the 15-player Hunting Event work?
Up to 15 players fight one boss on the same battlefield. Parties of up to five can queue together through matchmaking. It is a limited-time event rather than permanent content, but Netmarble plans to bring it back periodically.
What is Memory of Dimensions?
Memory of Dimensions is an Original Story Quest that recreates memorable events from the anime inside the game. The first chapter focuses on the bond between Meliodas and Elizabeth, with future chapters planned around the journey of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Version 1.8 QoL improvements
- Set Item information will be visible directly in game.
- Codex and Special Codex entries will show acquisition sources.
- Previously hidden Point Fishing Spots will appear on the map with location information.
- Dungeons, Boss Challenges, and Raids can be retried immediately without leaving the field first.
- Boss Challenges can also be restarted while combat is still in progress.
Renewed missions and free tickets
Path of the Hero and Challenge Missions I-III will be renewed with stronger early-growth rewards. Over five weeks, players will receive Regular Hero Draw Ticket x10 every Monday at 09:00 UTC, for a total of 50 tickets. Each mailbox delivery expires after seven days.
Version 1.8 appreciation rewards
- Radiant Potion of Charm x3
- Remnants of the Rift x3
- Tailor's Stitching Needle x5
- Element Spell Bead Selection Chest x3
The official note says these rewards can be claimed after Version 1.8 arrives until August 26 at 14:59 UTC.
Timespace and early-game changes
Timespace Junction Season I will end with Sector 12, which remains available for two weeks before the Half-Anniversary reset. Season II begins with Version 2.0 and resets all Sectors to Sector 1. Version 1.8 also adds an early cave-tutorial skip, improves World Level 3 rewards, and adjusts Tag Skill targeting against groups.
What is not confirmed?
Developer Notes #17 does not name the next Hero Pick Up, banner dates, rates, or pity changes. Treat the Version 1.8 roadmap as confirmed content direction, not a banner reveal.
